backed up into a poll

PS!
Potential Scammer!
ok i see my team at a diner and i pull in, i see some really hot girls in a honda civic just lookin at me and my friend so i back up to turn and park next to them and CRUNCH i backed up into a poll.. My left carbon fiber altezza is cracked and there is a dent on teh body that is as big as the taillight. My question is should i report it to my insurance and say that i came out and saw the damage, that someon hit it and left? I dont have money to fix it right now and i dont want my insurance rate to go up.

I would highly caution you about trying to decieve the insurance company. The agents know quite a bit about types of collisions and the dynamics behind a dmaged portion of the car.

I would get a quote from a couple of body shops.....then take a look at your deductable. Do some math....and come to an educated decision.

poll - when you vote to see what's the popular opinion among a set number of choices

pole - something you back into and make yourself feel like a complete dumbass

do what YP5 said, get an estimate from a body shop, and then see if your comprehensive deductible is higher or lower than the estimate. No reason to report to insurance if deductible is higher than actual repair cost...

even if you lie to the insurance company and tell them someone else hit it, you still will end up paying the deductible because they have no one else's insurance company to claim against....

you gotta pay up to fix your own idiocy....
