awr motor mounts

i recently installed the front mount and the vibration is not that bad. the motor still has a decent amount of movement and made a good amount of improvement. i just was wondering how mouch more vibration the rear mount will make?

The rear will add a good amount of vibration with the front, but the way wheel hop dissapears and the way the car drives afterwards is worth it. It will be REALLY BAD for about a week or 2 weeks but after that the motor mount will soften up just a bit, still vibrates a good amount, but I wouldn't go back.

i did notice with the front mount when its warmer out it doesnt feel as bad and after 2 weeks the vibration even went down. i only have vibration at idle other than that its great.

ive had mine for a few months now...

the vibrations are at idle to about 2k rpm..

after that it dissappears...

i have 2 screws that have unscrewed themselves...

1 on my old manifold heat shield.... and 1 screw for my guage cluster

I have them, it's a huge difference with the rear one, the kick panels, steering column covers, and the headliner all have rattles, but the car feels so much better. The rattles are an easy fix, I just haven't had the time. I still have a wheel hop though.

if anyone releases inserts for the other mounts them im getting them...

I'm putting mine in this weekend. I was driving around today and was pulling out from a lot with a small puddle....******* wheel hop. Nice to see its working for ya Jim.

I ordered the bushings for the auto mounts (from AWR), still waiting for them to get here. Hopefully they will lessen the vibration a bit. Even with the vibration and rattles I WILL NOT go back to the stock mounts. The stock ones are just too sloppy.

When I had mine people always thought that my car was broken or something, especially right when you starti t up and it idles.
****** things are insane. No stock protege needs motor mounts!

jsahyoun is completely right...

no stock protege needs the engine mounts...

but if you plan on modding your car more then the engine mounts are a great mod...

the stock mounts can be completely twisted by band..... imagine what a heavy engine can do to them....

if some companty came out with inserts then it would help alot and wouldnt vibrate much...

i still love my mounts .... even though it vibrates like crazy and it took azian6er and i over 7 hours to get them installed...

I have had both for a few months now and I still get the "what's that noise" question a lot. I don't mind it and only notice it at startup at at 1100 rpm - but I try not to stay it that end of the tac.

it must have been me though b/c i do have steelies on my car for winter...
