anyone have these installed? how difficult is the installation? can i do it myself?

what noticeable improvements can be expected? from what i understand, it will improve throttle response and cure the jumping/lurching/rocking at slow speeds

just want some feedback from those who have it installed b4 i decide to invest in it.

Do a search..plenty of info out there.

I have the front mount, which took all of five minutes to install.
The other mounts are much more difficult. I think if you only drive on the streets, the front mount is all thats needed.

I noticed smoother shifting, better power to the ground application, and believe it or not better handling.
But, be aware there will be alot more vibration, as the urathane mounts translate the vibration from the engine bay, to the cabin.
I don't think the vibrating is all that bad, but I can't imagine how much it would vibrate with all mounts installed.

It will not cure the jumping/lurching/rocking at low speeds, but there is a noticable improvement.

Hope this helps.

The mounts help tremendously when you have a turbo. You really feel the affects of it.:D

great.... thanks for the feedback.

where are the front mounts located? and where did you buy them??

my main beef is the jumping/rocking motion i get when i let off the throttle at low speeds and low RPMs... usually in 1st, 2nd and sometimes 3rd gear. anything we can do to cure that or is it just a trademark protege thing i have to live with??..

o.g.sk8er,

150 would be a small price to pay if the mount actually made a diffrence about the stuttering the car does at low speeds. It would be a high price to pay if it didnt. Give me the low down, how much does it work?

I accually have them installed as well. Do a search for my posts. If you can't find them let me know.

Hey where in So Cal are you?

perfworks mentioned AWR might be making replacements to the other two motormounts also.

i got the front one in and it gives the car a lot better feel. But like everyone says it will vibrate alot more. especially with the AC on while idling.
