AWR Motor Mounts installed.

I'll be installing the front and driver's side mounts later this week - any tips or suggestions you can offer, or things to be aware of?

TIA

One thing is you might want to go into the engine bay and spray the bolts that need to come out w/ wd40 or liquid wrench the night before you are doin the install. Just makes the bolts come off a lot easier.

You'll also need to take out the battery on the driver's side to access that mount.

Have a jack and a couple of jackstands ready. As soon as you remove either of the side mounts, the engine or tranny will sag. So you need the jackstands to hold up your car, while you use the jack to brace the engine.

I am going to install my front motor mount this weekend. Do I need to torque anything down or just as tight as I can make it? Any special tools I need to know about before I start? Thanks in advance for the help.

You will need a 17mm deep socket. If you don't use a deep socket you will strip the bolts. This is because the ratchet will hit part of the frame as you twist it, thus slowly pulling it off the nut. I used about an 18" pipe and slid it over the ratchet for leverage. Put a block of wood under the engine (after putting the car on jack stands), then jack up the engine VERY slightly.... maybe 1/2". If you look at the stock mount as you are jacking up the engine, you will see the rubber relax and the bolt move up a bit. Once you do this, it will be easy to take the bolts off. You can take them off in any order you want, and when you put in the new mount, just tighten them as much as you can with the 18" pipe.... that should be good.

Couldn't of said it better myself. ^^^^^

You will not be able to get the bolts out without a breaker bar...as mentioned, we used the handle from the jack for extra leverage. Extentions for your wratchet will be helpfull and there is one bolt you won't be able to get at with a wratchet (right under the batt box) so you will need a wrench for that.
