So my idea for the exhaust is becoming clearer by the day. I wish it were near stock levels in sound and I think my masterpiece muffler must go. I gotta find a replacement first therefore anyone got any ideas for ULTRA quiet mufflers.
Vibrant sells a quiet resonator, might pick that up but will also need a muffler that lowers sound as well.

So I dunno if I set some retarded record or something but it took me like 4-5hrs to read this whole thread, with a dinner break and a few smoke/coffee breaks in between, lol. But I finally finished it. All I have to say is...

LOL...didn't I tell you in an e-mail what the rims were? Dowels? I remember I had an issue with them but now i'm wodering why.
ok so i'm once again fed up with the damn car. I don't know if it's the clunk or what but I am getting a CRAZY creacking from the front swaybar/endlinks ( i think) when I turn the wheel. I have tried everything from adjusting the suspension to rasing/lowering the endlinks and still nothing. The next step I plan to take is get new bushings and re-grease the front bushings and if that doesn't work I will replace the endlinks as these appear shot since the rubber is ripped. Any thoughts?
On other notes I plan to strip the pain on the rims since I lost a chunk of paint on a rear one after I blew out a caliper. I got all four replacements and will be "downgrading" to MSP setup. I LOVE the look of the brakes but ultimately I want to keep things as simple as possible. I may even consider siwtching to Illuminas. In OTHER issues I also installed a high flow cat on the car which make it like 100% quieter and increased my spool up A LOT! Only thing is the cat hits the ladder bar now. You guys if the GT-Spec is thinner? I'm thinking I might buy one if it gives better clearance.

Is this with the awr's? I used to creak badly before I put the rubber grommets in there.
No actually this is with the stock endlinks. I'm amazed mine havent snapped yet. I hear all the horror stories but mine have yet to break. The only issue I see is the rubber is split and there is no lube. The other plan of attack is the sway bar bushing as those have never been replaced. Chassis has like 120K of hard driving so maybe it's their time.

Right on sir, thank you. I was actually gonna paint the pipes but didn't have time and ended up liking the offset of the black on silver like the rest of the engine bay.

yeah man....it's a weekly thing. I'm gonna rip of the endlinks of this friday cause I got a date on Sat night and I don't wanna be clunking around. This girl she LOVES the boost, every time I take her out she tells me to "go fast" and when the turbo spools up she always flips out and starts yelling like if on a roller coaster. Turbo's FTW...you should get it done already. The other option would be askin mommy for her ride. (glare)

It's MY date so it's a party for me lol. Unless she doesn't want to go out since I JUST called her now Halloween last night was once again a blur of fun.
Thank you sir. She wanted a Camry so I went took her to drive a Camry equivalent to the Benz and then took her to the Benz dealer and for 1k less she got the Benz.
I want to get her some stuff to make it look more aggressive. lol This newer model looks so AMGy stock. It def has a sporty look.
So I need new endlinks and bushing for the front swaybar as the rubber has split.Also noticed a have a leaking tranny, upper oil pan, I think it's the knock sensor is leaking oil somehow, exhaust rattle, tie rods are shot, car needs to be raised since I bottom out sometimes on the highway, exhaust still TOO loud, blown rear right speaker and rear right brake caliper which also leaked fluid and stripped most of my rims paint....The list NEVER ends.
Ill be stripping my rims and prolly going flat black along with a Vibrant street muffler in flat black. I think im gonna go with a black and blue theme a bruised princess. oh...and I will be going to MSP brakes for those that are interested in a BBK front and rear. It feels like "the never ending story" here with this car. lol still cheaper than a car payment though.

Maybe just need to cut the bumpstops or could be a bad strut... are you sure that was brake fluid and not hydraulic fluid from a strut. Usually a brake leak turns worse quick when you need to stop in a hurry and burst the the line. Be careful!
