i'm thinking about buying a mazdaspeed protege. I stopped by a dealer on saturday (4/25) and they didn't have any, but the manager said they would be getting a black one in sometime this week. I guess my question is....when are they 2003.5's coming out? the manager said june 1st, but he didn't even know the basic differences between the 2003 and 2003.5 beside color. I thought I had read somewhere that they were supposed to be coming out early april? any help in answering this question would be great. also are these cars extremely hard to get a hold of? and would you buy this car again?

Depending on where you are ,you shouldn't have any trouble finding an MSP.Out where I bought mine they have the 03 and the 03.5.I wouldn't pay list for an 03 though because they have been there for a while and they are having trouble geting rid of them!I would buy another MSP because it is just a blast to drive!

I didn't think that Mazda would "deal" on the MS Protege, since they are Special/Limited Edition cars? Countryside...on Joliet Rd?

yeah on joliet road.

you should definetly try to deal it down if they still have it. ive seen it sitting there for at least a month. plus the 03.5's are coming soon. just make sure that they know that you know whats up. dont even let them try to start u at 20,500 and then be like oh yeah + dealer added BS like rustproofing and so we want 23,500 for it. no, **** that.

Any dealer will deal on ANY car that won't move!

they tried that dealer added BS with me, they wanted 23,500!!! i was like **** u guys i been waiting for this for a long time and now i come in to get the car and you want ******* 3,000 over MSRP. no **** that, and **** you guys, ill pay MSRP because i know it is limted edition and also i got it first, meaning i was not in the same situation as you are now. you can probably bargain because the demand is apparently not very high, wheras i couldnt. but that would be sweet if you got it, another chicagoland MSP'er

hell ya man, i've been addicted to look up s*** on the internet for the MSP for over a month now. I haven't seen a single MSP riding around here, so it'll be pimp to have a car that no one else really has. my only complaint that i've seen on the MSP is that the 8 in. sub looks weak (i haven't heard it or anything I have a pretty good feeling it'll just be an "OK" sub) , but that's easily upgradable!
