Aux not working with Sirius

(enguard) (enguard) Hello everyone Just got my Silverbullet MS3 awsome car. Just called to complain about the Sirius install that disables the Aux Jack. If you have this problem please call Mazda and lets see if we all get the aux hook for free.
If everyone calls we can get what we paid for.

If you look on your window sticker does not say anything about not having this feature.

Mazda just gave me $300.00 for the install and scheduled it with my Dealer for the install. Just be nice to the guys at Mazda Headquarters. O.K.
I know some of you are not happy with the adapter but Im good with electronics and I will get it to work right.Noise is easy to fix no big deal.

So how does that work? Does it cost $300 for them to do the work and add the splitter? Is the work they're doing covered under warranty and you get to keep the money (minus the cost of the splitter) or is the $300 just compensation for it being stated nowhere that you don't get Sirius and the AUX working simultaneously out of the box?

Its actually pretty easy to install the splitter yourself also. Or if you don't even want to use the Sirius and just the AUX thats even easier, takes about 5 minutes to do. I didn't even want to use the Sirius radio so it was pretty easy for me, just pull the head unit out, unplug the Sirius (if looking at the headunit from the front it will be the connection in the back on the bottom left), find the AUX plug and plug that into where you unplugged the Sirius. Its pretty easy to do, don't need any knowledge of cars or car electronics really.
The hardest part is just trying to figure out how to take apart the dash and even thats easy. There's several threads on here that explain how to do this, pretty much anyone can do this.

I just got my MS3 last week and discovered this problem the other day and I am really annoyed. I called the install guy at the dealer who is putting in the SIRIUS radio this coming week. He seemed pretty knowledgeable and tech savvy about the problem with the AUX input. He ASSURED me thought that there was no switchbox available to allow me to use both the SIRIUS radio AND the aux input. He said the SIRIUS module that they install is NOT compatible with any switchbox that will let you use both. I wish I had the part number TD1379CFZ to give him but I was driving. Before I call back and beat a dead horse any further and potentially sound like a fool - are you guys sure that this MAZDA OEM switchbox will work so I could get both my OEM installed SIRIUS radio AND use my AUX that's in the center console? I am so darn confused and irritated right now. I just don't know what the deal is.
Thanks!!!!
