AutoMeter Mechanical Oil Pressure Gauge - Where to connect?

Oil pressure light? Where is this light at? I am guessing I do not know as it probably has never come on. Where is the stock sensor located on the engine? Easy to get to? Easy to replace? Both thread in? And what do you mean 'replace it with an indicator'?

Where this Brass fitting is, there is a sensor. It's on the back of the engine next to the oil filter..

You will see the light on the dash if you turn on the ignition, but don't start the car.

One threds out, one threads in...

Ok, so it sounds pretty easy to hook up and what not. I take it that I need to drain the oil from the engine before I go and pull out the stock sensor? If I remove the oil filter will the sensor be easy enough to get to? I'd rather not have to pull the engine to replace it! Thanks again for the help and sorry for the stupid questions.

Plan on an oil change. Take out the filter, and also remove the Intake Manifold support bracket (4 bolts). It makes it soooo much easier to get at the sender location. :)

thanks for your help guys. I decided to brave the cold of my garage, and since it got up to a whopping 30 degrees today, I got the sender unit hooked up and working (I think). My readings at idle are about 25 psi and under full boost they are about 55-60psi. Is that correct?

Good Readings, They will move depending on

Oil Changes

Temperature

(cool) Nothing feels better than to spend a couple hours in a cold garage (did an oil change too), and fire it up to see that it actually works. Makes me feel like it was worth while. Plus, I lubricated the bushings that the anti-sway bar runs through which were squeeking so horribly. All fixed and purring like a kitty :)

Thanks again y'all
