Automatic headlights turn on and so does the radio

I have this weirdness happen once in a while. This doesn't happen all the time, but it has happened several times including this morning. I pull into a parking garage for work every day and my headlights usually come on, but sometimes so does the radio! Anyone else getting this quirkiness? While not a problem per se, it does make me further shake my head at this weird infotainment system.

But how did you turn the radio / infotainment system off in the first place? (uhm)

auto headlights can be explained by light sensor on dash, as you pull into the darker lit garage the lights will go on,

as for the radio, did you have on Pandora, aha or Stitcher,

perhaps as you pull into garage , you lost internet connection and it defaults to radio ? just a guess....

Yeah, to keep things quiet, I'll usually let BT auto connect but turn off the audio source (Pandora) from my phone which leaves me in silence audio-wise without losing phone and the rest. It could also be a matter of my phone flaking out when it auto connects to my work wifi as I pull in to the garage at work and/or home.

For Mazda, the light sensor for automatic headlights is the infrared rain sensor behind the top center of the windshield. That's why rain-sensing wipers and auto headlights come together with the GT or Touring Tech Package.
