I'm sorry 2K3, but that's a completely bulls*** way to look at it. If you were driving home from a bar and you had been drinking (over or even near the legal limit) you DESERVE to get the biggest ticket you can... Driving intoxicated is completely different from speeding (in a non-reckless manner) sober; its the difference between being in control and out-of-control.
The cameras, if widely used, will actually put less officers on traffic duty because the job will "allready be done". That logically leads us to more drunk drivers not getting caught before they plow into me, my family, you, yours. etc. I'm sorry its not a rant against you but a rant against the argument. As far as the cameras go, I assure you that I will fight them with everything that I have if I get a ticket like that in the mail... Speed limits are designed to keep vehicles within a range of safe operation at varied conditions (traffic, weather, etc) and it logically follows that the "limit" is more flexible at various times which is why officers let people who are "breaking the law" go at different times.
