looks good...if only our car had more balls ;-)

I have to admit the positioning of the people with the track to me makes me incredibly nervous considering this was a higher speed course and being on the outside of a few curves it seems risky.

I don't see corner workers unless they are waving a red flag in my face... so if you are ever working while I am running i suggest you gtfo my way

Ahhh...bawls...the spritey substance I consumed during all those counterstrike\ut2004 lan parties ;-)

Good eye , we all complained about it, but this was a recreational Autocross by the porsche club and the had not too much experience.

Ha! I thought I was the only one like this :)

I love the vids! Especially the drift in the one up top near the end (boom06)

That sure looked like lots of fun.
I am looking forward to doing an EMRA track day at Lime Rock this year. Should I rock the 2 or the NA Miata?

Almost nailed that finish cone huh? Odd my tires never screech, lol. What tires are you using?

old worn out hankook rs3's. I havent gotten an alignment after my drop and I notice its only squeeling when I turn right so looks like I need to break down and get an alignment lol.

Front toe is probably way off (majorly toed-in). Easy enough to get it close to zero with a tape measure. Measure both in front of and behind the centerline from the same point on the tire from side to side (i use one of the center grooves). Make it the same.

Here is my last Autocross, on a rainy day. Too loud for my taste, will get a different muffler soon.

Was a short course 40 seconds, got a 37.5 - 37.7 my fried in his Mini with the continental rain tires was almost a second and a half slower in the rain.

The afternoon first group (mine) was nasty sand everywhere, could not get better than 38. the last group where my friend ran with his Mini on Toyo this time, with a cleaner dryer course got a 37.5. He's a great driver.

I am very plese with my car , definitely the car to have. Just need some tuning, maybe better coilovers before Nationals.

I got my crap handed to me yesterday but it was mostly my fault. Corvette guy designed the course, so it was a fast course. Second run I do fairly well and shoot to the top non mini spot. With it being so fast I decide to take pressure out of the rear since in my mind I needed the grip more than I needed the rotation so I went from 35 to 30 in the rear and I lowered the fronts from 33 to 30 since I was having no roll over at all. Got on course 3rd run and was literally all over the place, spent the last two runs trying to fix what I did with my air pressure and not trusting the car after that....so my 2nd run was my best and I left so much time on the course I am frustrated...but for a faster course I am still pretty happy for how the 2 did. I just need more seat time and learn more on the adverse effects of my actions.

Here's some loose tail stupidity

Feel free to yell at me... I need it.

I run 28 in the front and 26 in the rear on my toyos, just enough slip n slide, with a happy medium of grip.

As for your video it's kinda hard to tell from the angle but it looked like you were overbraking (a difficult problem to recover from in our cars), and it seems like your line was quite a bit off of the apex.

Im running some old rs2's so its tough to find people that have them to give me advice though I did here yesterday of a friend of a friend who says the rs2's needed a lot of heat to stick, so with it being a 50 degree day (probably high 40's when I was running) lowering pressure could have been an adverse reaction to what I was going for.

A prepped fiesta from michigan has 4 preshaved 195 50(55?) 15's dunlop star specs with 6 runs on them he'd sell me for 250, he said he ordered 205's and they sent him 195's and let him keep the wrong set from tirerack. I would hope that would be a good improvement.

Missing apex's and running the wrong line probably means I need to slow down because overdriving gets me into trouble.
