Austin track days and random questions

Been off the boards for a good long bit (basically since I blew the motor a few years back in my MS3 and it turned into a paperweight). Have also been out in DC for the last few years. Put together a pair of track e36s for Summit, VIR, etc., one for Spec 3.

Anyone do Spec Miata out here? GTS2/3?
I know they've got a few clubs out here that do track days: BMW CCA, Driver's Edge. Anyone else I should look at? Any Mazda centric clubs doing DEs?
Any race shops that specialize in prepping Mazda's for the track or just specialize in Mazdas specifically?
Any good junk yards to start trawling for an spare MZR to fix the paperweight?

I don't know of any Mazda specific clubs, at least active ones. I would start at Harris Hill if you have ever been there, it's a track north of San Marcos on 35 and a guy named David Johnson works there. DJ is a good guy to know if you like racing and you like mazdas, he has lots of them and is the main rep of Harris hill, which is a great little track. Otherwise I normally do events put on by Track Guys, who are a good group and don't over-populate the track like always happens at Driver's Edge events.
I recall a guy selling an MZR shortblock on craigslist not long ago.
