Audio Settings

I've played around with the audio settings a bit and haven't quite found what I want. So I was wondering what you guys have your audio settings at. I just wanted to try out what you guys have as a guide and maybe I'll be able to find what I like from it.

I listen to mostly slow jams and hiphop if that helps. Thx.

mid all the way up highest freq same for treb and bass bass extension on nf level around 7-15 depending on song, and then just play around with the rest

Press SRC until radio is off

Hold Q

Woofer setting - 12in type B

Press SRC until you get to the CD part

Volume offset - 0
Loud - on
Bass FRQ - 80Hz
Bass - +3
Bass Q - 2.00
Bass Ext - off
Mid FRQ - 2.0Khz
Mid - +3
Middle Q - 2.00
Mid - +3

Tre FRQ - 12.5Khz
Tre - +8
NF Level - -07
HPF Front - Through
HPF Rear - Through
LPF NF - 80Hz

Adjust the NF Level accordingly depending on the type of music or the CD or your subwoofers.. I'm not sure where to put this for the stock sub, but I'm guessing it's close to the same area, possibly a little higher.

my speaker setting=realy ******* loud...I listen to PUNK RAWK, and ROCK, so I just turned up the NF level to two, and thats enough bass for me, cause the music sounds really bassy, but not too bassy, like it's balanced. oh, and preset flat...thats my setting...lol.Sorry, this isn't what you wanted is it???

best settings....

these have worked for me. the single most important thing is turning off the system q and woofer and speaker settings. this deck has the worst processing i have ever heard. keep in mind I am not using any of the other stock items ( i have JL XR 570CSi and 12W6v2 off of 300/2 and 250/1).

Speaker Setting - off
Woofer setting - off

Loud - off absolutely! this is a boost for highs and lows to conpensate for low volumes being "un"dynamic.
Bass FRQ - 100Hz
Bass - 0
Bass Q - off
Bass Ext - off
Mid FRQ - 2.0Khz
Mid - -3
Middle Q - off
Tre FRQ - 10 khz
Tre - -2
NF Level - -1
HPF Front - Through
HPF Rear - Through
LPF NF - Through
NF Phase - Normal

my settings may not work well with other speakers or the stock setup but I assure anyone who turns off loudness, bass extension, keeps the nonfading phase normal, turns off speaker and woofer settings and system q that their music will sound a world better.

thanks for the 'loud' advice... i went out and messed w/ my HU just now for about 5 minutes fine tuning everything to my liking, and having loud off and adjusting everything else makes everything just sound so much crisper... its like deactivating a giant gain switch for all your speakers. sub hits clearer, highs and mids come out much clearer... granted i had to change around my HPF and LPF, along w/ frequencies for speakers and output levels because i am still stock, but the loud thing alone along w/ a few other adjustments makes a HUGE difference... to be honest, i never even tried turning loud off because i didnt even think to, but im glad i came across this thread :)
