When you press the eject button, how long does it take to eject a CD?
Does it come out as soon as the face folds down?

I'm having issues with mine, every third CD seems to get stuck and wont eject until I fiddle with a debit card or another CD in the slot, when it does eject without fiddling, it ejects on the third attempt, I can hear it making the eject noises 1, 2 then 3 times and out it comes. Seems to take forever.

Is this normal?

Doug: Any chance any of these CDs have paper labels? That could be a cause. Also; I updated you in the production # list.

No, not paper labels. Regular music store CD's, or CD-R's without labels.

Doesn't sound normal, but another idea might be burrs on the hole of the CD....but chances are you have a defective unit and you should take it to your dealer and have them take care of it.

There can be only one...

I have several hrs of MP3's burned onto one cd so I havent really ejected it yet...
Mostly 80's thrash...Madien, Old Met, Old Megadeth, Anthrax,
Slayer(post satanic), Some Priest (pre open closet), some non thrash, MotorHead, QueensRyche (sic), Old VanHalen,
etc etc etc.

yup, broke. Same thing happened to the guy here. These flip face kenwoods are getting to be a problem.

Getting worried. Maybe I should keep my z828 when I get the speed. Sorry, IF I get the speed.

does it ever get stuck completely? As in you have to reset it?

Yes, it does get stuck completely, the face wont close, EVEN if I reset it.
The only solution is to poke around inside the unit with something like another CD or debit card.
What works best is timing the insertion of whatever poking tool I have handy (no cracks now!!) with the opening of the face.
