MatLab my favorite programming lanage. BTW i'm a CS major but matlab is very good for matrix calcuations. So its good for engineering and graphics.

BTW wrong fourm

Matlab is a great program for matrix evaulation and basically any numerical analysis. It has a great help program. I also used it for my control and dsp classes, very powerful software. If you want to use a math program for more "theoretical" application I would suggest mathematica. That program rocks as well.

look to see if you can find/get a student version of Solidworks, and Cosmos. if you can't find a student version then dont bother... its about $20,000

SolidWorks and Mathematica = teh rox0r.

unfortunately, we mostly used Pro/Engineer and Pro/Mechanica. not teh rox0r.

fantastic... buy it, then go get a job making bagillions of dollars
I have it at work, and its great.

hahaha, my favorite part of that page:

<script language="JavaScript">document.write(formatPrice(' 156.98',01));</script>Sale Price: $ 156.98
(you save $26823.02)

yeah, we have the real deal at work, and we paid just over $20k... so judging by thier normal price we got a steal! lol

Just purchased that student edition of SolidWorks..Cant wait to get it and start playing..

Does anyone have any files they can send me? Intake flanges, manifolds, anything that pertains to this car in solid works format I will take...I just want to play with them to get a feel for the program..thanks!

I need a copy of solidworks and proE if anyone can accomadate. :) Damn campus firewall...

if you want some easy CAD software dl the www.emachineshop.com program. its really easy to use, much easier than SW.

solidworks is easy once you learn it.. and its oh so functional... there is nothing you can't draw with it. I wish I had some assemblies from work to show you.
