I like MA Audio!!

www.maaudio.com

I am selling my three competition 10" woofers. They are rated at 1000 watts a peice, 240oz. magnet, dual aluminum voice coils, and the whole basket is chrome. I have had them for 3 or 4 months and have decided to go for three 12" of the synergy series and run about 4500 watts through them, each with thier own amp. The 10's sound awesome but I always like to change to something different. I have been running 1500 watts through them with the synergy series 1500 watt amp. I still have them in my car and will let you here them if you like. It is impossible to blow these!!!

any idea of where can i get some component installed around here jag? and of course im not even going to try to do that, i hardly know some basics about the receiver installation... also whats a good set of components?

Here in Austin, Custom Sounds is everywhere. The only problem I have with Custom Sounds is that they charge out the wah-zoo for their products. At least 10%-30% more for everything I've looked into in the past. I have to admit that they probably have very good installation people to work on your car since that is all they do to make a profit.

Now, I'd just recommend you to ask around each stores. I have done business with both Custom Sounds and Circuit City installers. Yeah, Circuit City is cheap and all, but I got to know some of the installers really well (spent over 2 grand there for my old car) and if you get the right people on the job they do a pretty decent job.

If I were you, I'd just drive around each store and ask the same questions to all the installers and see which one you feel answered your questions the best. Make sure you have an idea what you want, price range, and do a LITTLE research (through the Internet) on the product(s) you are interested in before you go asking them what you want them to do. Such as know the spec of the product, that way when they compare other products to what you know it will be easier to understand the difference.

Best of luck!

arrrghhh..... im still lost, i guess i need to go to car toys and pay both my eyes for installation and products :(

it wouldnt be that bad if i was talking about a sedan, but miatas are kind interesting for sound systems due to space... not really sure what to get.

Final question, please, some of u guys around (Jag or Linux), what place can you recommend me for installation and product selling???

There are two shops that I know of off hand, forgot the names, but remember the location. I think mobile is at mayfield and cooper, and further down cooper, before you hit park row and arlington high school is another one on the left. Check out those two places, find out install prices, and the products they recommend. Then I would buy the products they recommend yourself on the internet. Then take them to the place to install. Thats the way I would handle it. No actually I would install it myself.

The place before Park Row on Cooper (at Inwood) is Mobile Sound Systems. I was there yesterday looking into prices on a 3rd screen for the front (ie..Visor, Dropdown, and In-Dash). You know, the fact that the dome light buttons are recessed to the middle of the roof leaves a lot of room for a drop-down in the front. We sized one, and it was perfect! Aside from the fact that it was to thick for my tastes. I think that the visor screens are a better solution though because they won't obstruct your view of the rear-view mirror.
