Attention Racing Beat Cat Back Owners

A great sounding system, for sure. I actually drove with the radio off for almost two weeks after installing mine. Really not much difference with a CAI or shorty header, either. With a full header I'd imagine it would be a good bit louder, though. I just need to find someone I trust to drive it around a parking lot so I can really get a good listen from outside the vehicle.

While we are talking about exhuast sound, how is the magnaflow exhaust sounding???????

I just wanted to know if these cat back systems still sound great on an automatic? THanks

Yes. Especially if you have the sporttronic. Or whatever the hell it's called these days.

I really want one of these systems but the price is a little high for me...I was looking on ebay and found one for 150 dollars. the Item # is 7924312687. It looks exactly the same as the racing beat one. HAs anyone bought one from Ebay? how is it? What do you guys think? Sorry to thread jack

I do not think that this ebay one is the correct one. You are probably getting confused with the mazdaspeed axle back portion.

Cheapest I found it was $430 at www.racingextreme.com Fast shipping too! And about the auto tranny, mine sounds good. It is a bit quieter than I had hoped, but it is not bad. It sounds great when you take off the line.

Do not buy a racing beat catback exhaust. I know it's "supposedly" the best sounding exhaust out there, but the company is unbelievably terrible. I've been trying to get the resonator piping from them for ******* 10 months now. I originally ordered my exhaust with like 7 other people in a group buy and like 1/2 of us recieved exhausts with dented tips. This is because Racing Beat doesn't ship out the exhausts themselves. They contract a company called, Automotive Express, to come pick up the exhausts, then package them and ship them out. I've been talking to Automotive Express for the past 30 minutes and the owner admits that they didn't even add any additional packaging to the boxes, which is why alot of us have dented tips. I wouldn't even mind the dent at all if I had recieved a working exhaust, but without the straight resonator piping, I can't even connect it to my car. Automotive Express says that every single one of the exhausts they shipped out weighed 45lbs. My box says 11kgs, which to me would mean that mine only weighed 22.4lbs. Of course the company can't account for the 22.6lbs missing. They blame it on UPS, but the box I recieved was in good condition (from what I remember, it was 10 months ago...) Rishie has been helping me try to resolve the situation, but we're both just getting jerked around. He tried to talk to Racing Beat and they said for me to just get one made at a muffler shop. What a bad company. Like I want to purchase an exhaust from them, not recieve what I need, then pay more? Rishie even offered to purchase the single resonator piping that I need in order for me to get my stuff, and Racing Beat says that they can only produce the exhaust as an entire kit. Give me a ******* break. Although they did say that Rishie could purchase the full exhaust and just give me the piping I need. (jerkit) They have no care or intention of fixing the problems with their products.

I suggest that no one purchase from Racing Beat ever again. What a load of crap this company is. I wouldn't want anyone else to have to deal with the s*** that I have to deal with.

Mine was packed really well too - the tip was wrapped up in bubble wrap multiple times. Only problem is that my car has been completely destroyed by the hail...

I have the Racing Beat Exhaust; 1st gen, where they have the logo on the wrong side and a different tip then the ones that come out now (wow)
I love this exhaust, even with no cats the car is really quiet until you let it rip. The tone is nice and deep and growls and the exhaust screams when you really gun it. The sound is really agressive and no where close to the Honda fart can buzzing. On idle is really quiet.

I guess the lesson here is to avoid getting a direct ship from RB. I can understand his frustration with the poor packaging, but unfortunately outsourcing is a sign of the times. RB probably isn't high volume enough to hire a full shipping/receiving team, or they don't have the space to do it efficiently.

Yes it is their fault because they chose a crappy company to do their shipping, but if they did it in-house you'd probably be paying $600 for that cat-back kit.

Just my .02, and I don't intend this as a flame at lgagno...just my opinion.

I guess I was lucky with shipping, i had no problems once so ever and everything was all good for me. I dealt with a shop and they dealt with RB directly.
