I have been trying to contact you about your E6X engine management, I am ready to purchase but you are not returning my calls. Please PM me.

I got all your messages and I didn't want to bother you on the weekend. I will call you tomorrow.

We do have the E6X in stock.

Its ready for sell with the proper wiring harness? Do you have any results you can tell us about?

what is the difference between the E6 and the F10 you emailed me (Ken) about? Also, I was checking out Spoolin's microtech unit, which he said would require tweaking of the fuel maps for best performance. If I used either of your fuel management setups, e6 or f10, would I need to tweak anything or would it be plug and play? also, would i need to remove the inline fuel pump as well as the AFPR/FMU?

kens afwaid of tweaking his wittow pikamobiew

oh hell yes i am. blowing up one engine is enough. before i do anything in regards to cranking up the boost, i want 110% of the information available.

f10 just controls fuel.
e6x controls fuel and ingnition.

Plus it has a ton extra of cool stuff that it can do.
Check out this link to read up on it... i believe it's the same one.
http://www.haltech.com.au/Products/ECUs/E6X/e6x.html
You can also download the software from there and run it (just select offline). It seems pretty cool.

The way I see it, the FMU is fine for 6psi but if you wanna go higher, this might be a worthy upgrade. Just need to get someone to make all the fuel maps though. I was looking at all the settings and a lot. Much easier to load the maps and go :)

Speaking of which, anyone know if the maps would be different between the IHI and the T3? I am guessing you would have diff maps (since you have diff maps for auto vs. manual).

It would be cool to have pre-programmed maps for each kit... hiboost auto and manual, FM auto and manual, and Spool (Stage 1-3) auto and manual.

Maybe it's just a pipe dream :D

HiBoost was suggesting the f10 and thier sensor pkg for my setup to run about 10 psi on stock injectors. FM believes the engine will safely run 12 psi on stock internals. It would however, eliminate the fuel pressure regulator from the setup entirely. I just want to know if my inline pump has got to go as well and if I would need to adjust thier fuel maps for my kit, as he said he would send me the unit "plug and play".

Corky has said that the AFPR on 93 octane fuel is good for 8 psi with the fuel pump.

The F10 does only fuel control, while the E6X does fuel and timing.

There is no difference between automatics and standard transmission cars as far as mapping is concerned. If the engine is well tuned the system should work the same for both.

Turbo_P5 wants the E6X for his drag car so he is getting it without mapping and he will do his harness connections and everything.

The F10 and E6X that we will be offering will come Pre-mapped and the harness will be modified for an easy installation.

Patiently waiting............ Hurry up Juan! J/K:cool:

Captain KRM P5, I plan on keeping my inline pump and using the Haltech to control when and how the pump comes in.

Hiboost,
Would you have different maps with the IHI vs. the T3 (your kit vs. Spool or FM)?

Also, I would imagine that some "fine tuning" would still be necessary depending on elevation and climate differences?

Thanks,
Dale.

No

ECUs have sensors to compensate, i.e. MAP, MAF etc...

Ahhh...
I thought the install was like the f10 where you clip the injector wires. But then I was reading more and noticed that Juan said it works with the ECU.

Do you still clip the wires and it reads input from the stock ECU or does it work together where the stock ECU manages fuel delivery and ignition and the E6X takes over when needed.

Sorry if its a stupid question I am just trying to learn more about the unit and how it works.

Thanks.

My $.02

I'm pretty sure Juan said that the E6X takes over ALL ignition and fuel controls and leaves everything else (comforts) to the ECU. The E6X basically uses all the same sensors as the stock ECU so it can compensate for elevation and temperature changes. Hopefully he'll come on and confirm...

Yes, you are right. The E6X will take full control of fuel and ignition. The injector wires are clipped and connected to the haltech output wires the same as the two ignition output wires.

The stock ECU is left along with the haltech to do some other things like the Idle control, auto tranny, tach etc.

Yeah, sorry to be a broken record, but any idea when this will be available and what the cost will be. .. inquiring minds want to know!

It should be ready, mapped and tested in about 1 month.

Price around $1,150 and 1,200 with special pre made harness to fit Mazda proteges with FS 2.0

It'll be a plug and play, no mapping necesary. Need to connect around 12 to 14 wires, but engine harness is just plug in connectors.

Juan,

Please PM me when it is ready. I will have a check sitting on my desk waiting on you:D
