i think it's less than 100 to the wheels...like 90hp? as far as mazda being picky...it's your local dealer you need to be concerned about....some dealers like miine are cool and don't get all geared up over cai or a new muffler etc....now if you go in for service problem and the problem can be directly attributed to your mods...no warrenty(cryhard) ! good luck!

champion in brockton. actually, i only went there once after i bought the car. the service manager was pretty cool! he mentioned the cai and exhaust but had no problem with them because he said they were not an issue wth the warrenty work that needed to be done.

Thanks. I bought the car from Mazda Gallery but was pissed at the buying experience that I never went back. The only other dealer I went to was Quirk when the CD bit the dust, they were fine but I had no mods at that time. I am looking to take it to Wellesley Mazda since it is close to work.

Anybody dealt with Wellesley Mazda?

I purchased my P5 from Wellesley Mazda...
The sales team there isn't the best (they ****** me over on a couple of things) but the service department is great.
They gave me no hassles about my broken motor mounts (while my friend had to go through hoops at Framingham Dodge to get his SRT-4's mounts replaced).
They haven't said anything to me about any of my aftermarket parts.

I haven't had any problems with the Mazda Gallery on Rte1 Norwood. Then again, my car is still bone-stock. They put a ding in the rear before I even got the car, but when I noticed it at pickup time they got me into their body shop that week, pulled the dent and repainted it. Can't even tell it was there.

That was the deciding moment for me. Had they not been so hospitable I wouldn't have returned. The salesman got the general manager and they apologized about a hundred times. They handled the situation very professionally and took full credit. (Well the salesman said he carefully looked over the car when it came off the truck the night before and it wasn't there so it must have happened out back...while I was waiting he flagged down one of the lot boys and pointed it out to him...the kid had the most frightnening face when he saw it...like his job was on the line)

I mean, these things happen, I understand that...but its how they handled the situation that makes me go back.

I used to deal with them all the time when i had my RX7. Good people, and the parts dept is one of the best in the state (their old parts manager was a Mass RX7 club member).
My only complaint about their service dept is when i had them do a compression test on my rx7 and they misdiagnosed it.

in need of help from a first timer.

Hello everyone! My name is Angie and I am doing a project for my marketing class where we have to make a whole advertising campaign for the Mazda Protege5. Our group is in need of some help with getting information on past sales of the P5. We have looked and looked for the exact number of P5's Mazda sold in the US the last year it was made....(2003. i think). We know the number is between 12000 and 15000. Would anyone know of this mystery number or know where I could go to do more research for it. Thanks a mil!

Bake the lights

Hey, Whats up. I am loving the Pro5 I just got. I am gonna bake the headlights this weekend and paint them flat black. I need some advice on what lowering springs to get. i am also getting black rims.

for ugrades, so far i have put in a Short ram intake, i have an OBX header and cat back exhaust ready to install, wheels (Flik Tdr-a), tires (Falken/Azenis St115), and steel braided brake lines on their way. Soon to buy: cams, rotors and brake pads, springs, pulleys. I am fairly new to the enthusiast scene. Any recommendations are welcome of course.

I use to run a two stage nitrous Setup but was to uncontrolable this turbo system is great spools up at about 1700 rpms and put you in your seat. hope to help you guy out later.
