article about HID and ho Pro5 has the farthest low beams!!

If they design HID Headlights with gyros to keep them level no matter how many potholes, speedbumps or uneven road you drive over then that will end being blinded. I mean it really doesnt sound like something hard to make. All it is is some balancing. if they can make SUVs 50/50 weight distribution front to rear then they can make constantly leveling HID lights.
What does weight distribution got to do with headlight aim??

hmm, good article, but for the P5, are they relating to the build of the housing or the bulbs that make it so bright?

Its only an example! Once again what i mean is balancing the headlight shouldnt be as complicated as balancing the whole car.

I think its the reflector itself.

Is H7 the right size for low beam?

should I stick with the big names? i.e. $150 or more per pair. Or can I just buy some no-name bulbs which may last as good as those expensive ones.?

what's the safest way to replace the bulb? And how do u replace the low-beam on the passernger side? Cos' it's got the wahser fluid tube in front of the light.

h7's are the lowbeams right?

what about the high beams...

i'm gonna replace w/ phillips visionplus......:)

The one thing I don't understand is how everyone says their stock headlights are so great. Then why on the mazda 3 are hid's an option??? I have a hid kit on my p5 and would never remove it. I love it and have only been flashed once while going over a hill. They are properly aimed and are not blinding to anyone. What's the problem??? (uhm) (uhm) (uhm)

even if you aimed right, our headlight still be too bright for coming vehicles.
I have HID too, I don't care if they flash me or not, they are just jealous. (thumb)

You know, those SUVs equiped with HID make me want to either install a pair of rearward pointing fog lamps or an electric elevated mechnical mirror facing backward inside my rear window.

I get so annoyed when one of those big ass SUV or rased truck with HID following behind me real close.

Hehe nice bump kansei... But I find those projector lights too be more annoying than HID's. I mean they are extremely focused where they are suppose to hit but once that thing its a bump its all in my eyes. haha Then I look like a deer about to be shot (shocked)

Agreed about projector lights. They look nice, and they're nice from a driver perspective, but since 95% of cars with projectors don't have auto-leveling ones, and even if they did, they wouldn't react quickly enough to sudden bumps and crap.. yeah no dice.

Oh snap! Back from the dead! I didn't even have my P5 when this was posted lol

Precisely why I bumped it. It's some interesting info, crazy that the Protege5 headlights project light the farthest and without glare

I dunno, I just went off the light adjustment guide on the daniel stern lighting web site.

Either way HID's are far more efficient and should be the standard, not the alternative.(headshake

I do like the look of HIDs. But why does it matter if its more efficient? so your car burns a couple more ounces of gas when you run halogens, who cares? I dont think it should be the standard....it would add another $500 to the price of any car you buy and it isnt functionally better. The stock Pro5 headlights are better than any HIDs according to the article.
