so im standing in line at a local car audio shop picking up some wire connectors so i can rewire my air compressor on my truck and this kid at the counter is looking at some s*** for his car and the lady behind the counter asks him what kinda car he has. the kid says he has a Mazda 6. i thought cool, i will tell him about this place. well, trying to make Mazda small talk i tell him i have a Mazda as well and that its Mazda 3. i then tell him its down right now because of the head blowing up. he then proceeds to tell me that i have a cheap Mazda. i tell him its an 04 Mazda 3 and that its not cheap. this kid looked like he barely he had any facial hair at all. im talkin his parents must have bought him that car. so anyways, i give him a "f--k you" look and go to another register and check out. i walk outside and his Mazda is parked up front. i wanted to kick the sh-t out of his car but i decided not to and got in my truck, and left.

i never did tell that little bastard about this place....

No but I've had the same problem, I was told I was cheap because I got the iTouring... the thing is my parents had bought me a brand new RSX but it was stolen and the Mazda3 reminded me of that but it was a 4 door so I could actually use it, I wanted to start paying my insurance and the 2.0 was less then the 2.3 plus I couldn't find an "s" in a color I liked with the options I 'needed' but yeah people think because I didn't get a 6 I'm somehow 'poor' but I loved the 3 and thats why I got it. I was also sick and tired of the way people looked at me when I got out of my RSX, I look way to young to be 20 so when I was 16 I could only imagine what people were thinking. Oh and we drive a "10 Best" car so really we have an AMAZING car!

oh i forgot to answer about what happened to my Mazda. valves in the head are rattling real bad and the head has to be replaced. i parked the car in the garage and so now im driving my "toy"....my bagged Ford Ranger.

did he drive the I4 6? cuz if so, I know that they are around the same price of the 3, my friend was given the choice, it appears that something about a weak engine and heavier weight do something that people don't wanna buy that car as much...

truth is that the old 6 is not better than its competitor (accord, altima) meanwhile the 3 is a benchmark.
