Apology from COBB Tuning

I only have on question.
Will Cobb's dropping of support for Mazdaspeeds result in tuner shops being less interested in purchasing the software required protune our cars. Most of the shops near me have ap support for sti's and it would be nice to know how the tuners are responding to this decision.

...you didnt even read the original post did you

Neway kudos to COBB for publicly releasing this and reigning back in alot of potential customers. After reading the original release i was wondering how you let a few bad apples sour the whole bunch because from what i have seen every community has them unfortunately. Looking forward to see what will be the new releases down the line

Great outcome, not I don't have to sell my AP. Very professional! Very excited to see what else COBB can do for the Mazdaspeed community...

so you single-handedly logged in to everyones username and posted comments about how they shouldn't stop supporting the community ?? or did you single-handedly go visit Gary personally and threaten him to apologize?? heheheheheh

Apology accepted. We as a Mazda community need to learn from this as well.

Thanks, Gary. Humility and honesty are the best marketing tools for selling product to informed customers.

Gary, thank you very much. On behalf of Mazdas247, I just wanted to say that we are very glad that you have reconsidered the situation after 'cooling down' a bit. I am looking forward to seeing the continued development of products created by Cobb for Mazdaspeed vehicles.

As others have said, nicely written apology and even though i don't own a mazdaspeed i was following the whole fiasco and am glad it appears to be resolved with out the mazdaspeed community loosing out on a great tuner/developer like cobb.

Wow, it takes a lot of guts to man up and apologize publicly on behalf of the company you stand for and I commend you for it. I've always been one of those quiet few on the sidelines patiently waiting for developments from reputable companies like Cobb, CPE, etc. to come through for my tuning needs. Although I do not agree with Cobb's decision to stop development after coming this far and developing a significant user/customer base, I do respect it. You folks at Cobb have all worked hard and there is nothing else to say at this point, except thank you all for your efforts. It's unfortunate certain events have led us all to this point but I wish you guys the best of luck in future endeavors.

I guess the one redeeming factor in all of this is that we now have access to ATR much sooner than originally planned. Kills two birds with one stone as it will allow those to tinker to their hearts content for THEIR car and setup and it'll shut the foul mouths of those few that have constantly bitched and moaned over the "inadequate" OTS maps.
