Anyone thinking of selling their '03 P5?

Our much-beloved '02 met an F150 the other day, and did not survive. We are looking for the next one. We tend to keep cars forever, so we're trying to be picky about maintenance and other longevity factors.

Required:
5-spd
NO sunroof
Less than 40K miles
Roof rack (or at least the mount rails)

Preferred:
Red, Blue, or not-silver-or-white, in that order.
Less than 35K miles
Maintained with synthetic oil
Maintenance records
One-owner
Cargo area cover
Stock 16" wheels
Never driven on salted roads

Will fly-to-buy the right car.

Good luck with your search. I'm basically looking for the same thing, but I'm in no rush, as my 02.5 is doing just fine it's just getting high mileage (59k)

i've never seen a p5 w/o a moonroof. i guess there are some out there. if your looking for one with a roof rack, you better off looking for an 02 or 02.5. because while the 02 and 02.5 came with the rack, didn't you have to specially order it on the 03?

if you find one without a roof rack i am sure you can find someone here that will trade rack for fillers, so i wouldnt make that much of a requirement

Why is everyone?

Why is everyone so worried about miles on these cars? I turned 97,000 this morning. The car is running great. With regular maintenance why can't it last 200,000? I'd certainly not be worried about another car when mine only had 59k on it.

Mine doesn't have one - personally, I can't stand the things - just something else to break/leak etc, and the headroom they steal is criminal. Especially if (like me), you're well on the wrong side of 6foot.

But for a car never driven on salted roads? You'll be looking at the southern states, then. I don't know, does it ever snow in places like Florida?

I have a P5 w/o a moonroof. I wanted one to tilt up and let the hot Florida heat out of the car. Can't win 'em all. Not sure about the special orders on the 03 roof racks, mine has the rails for one though.
