Anyone street tune using the CP-E

Other than a wideband, you would need something to detect knock, unless you logg that sensor.

Anything else needed?

you need a wideband...not too many have one.
So your running your CP-E set to 17 PSI. And thats on a stock map.
Correct?

So what you have is an expencive boost controler. :D

All that shows is that 17 PSI is safe to run on our cars.

I would like to see what refinement and additional power street tuning can bring out from the DISI.

I'm debating whether or not to wait for the high flow fuel pump CPE is going to be releasing or just say screw it and try to tune the EMS on my current set up. I'm trying to stay away from fuelcut. Some people are still having issues with cut even after tuning.

imho the cpe ems is nothing out of this world. Somebody needs to make something like K-pro, except for mazda. Teh ability to tap into stock sensors for knock and a/f readings would be great.

What I take from your last sentance is, that this piggy back unit doesn't have a logging feature.

This unit seems to be way under sufficticated for it's price.

What other units will there be on the market other than the CP-E, XEDE, and the Cobb?

So far, Cobb seems to be the most sufficticated unit for this car, althought it will cost around $1,000 with the additional unit that lets you costom tailer the A/F ratio...

Im using my cp-e and street tuning my car. I have a wideband and im watch what my fuuel pressure is doin on my laptop and a few other features....i've just got 15psi fully tuned to what I THINK is good
and now to move onto 17psi tonite, its clear and no white stuff :D

the cp-e ems allows you to data log right to ur laptop, and plus u can attacha wideband to it as well
they are workin on a new release so we can add on more features

you can datalog yes, but you cant data log the import things like af/knock. what wideband are you using and how did you connect it to the ems?

i am using the lm2 wideband
yea i kno u cant log those, but u will be able to in the future once they release the update i believe.
im wideband allows me to data loggin in itself
then i just compare the 2 screens to eachother to see what changes i have to make and where

what mods do you have done to ure car. Im curius to see what your a/f looksl ike prior to tunning. Are you adding fuel?

Our StandbackTM can also datalog just about every engine sensor for up to 40 minutes (depending on the selected sample rate of either 5, 10, or 20Hz)! This is an invaluable tool for diagnosing tuning problems as well as for monitoring engine health. Welcome to advanced engine tuning in the 21st century

maybe im not using this thing right but what can it log.

injector cycle/width doesnt work on the speed3. No o2 readings, no knock readings.

So pretty much maf/throttle/rpm/fuel pressure/ignition/boost/map? Cpe said something about hooking up a/f sensor and making them work? When is this coming out?

well right now all i gots is a cp-e ems, cp-e intake, cp-e downpipe with no cat

i was getting fuel cut and i talked to jordan and did a few things
i set my boost clip to 10
and then added fuel from
2.1 - 5.0
i added 1 unit of fuel at 2897
and then from 3138 to 4345 i added 2 units of fuel
then from 4586 to 4828 i added 1 unit fuel

right now my air fuel ratio is roughly at 10-11 and its -2 celcius here
i was thinkin of pulling some fuel out
ill do some a/f data logging and put it up here for u all to take a look at then we can all go from there

Its REALLY easy to use compared to an ls1 edit or even hondata
the only experience ive had is ls1 edit and that was soo confusing at least this layout is VERY USER FRIENDLY

I have the standback and I basically street tuned it with my lc-1 wideband. I dont get any fuel cut or studdering. I love the standback ems and it is so easy to use. If anyone has these mods let me know and I will send you my map. Injen Cai, cp-e TBE, Forge bpv, cp-e standback. I havent messed around with timing yet but fuel is reallly easy to tune. At fuel throttle my wideband numbers are right around 11.5 to 12.1. The standback logs the throttle position sensor volts and your engine rpms. My wideband logs my air/fuel ratio so all I basically have to do is go back and look at those 3 aspects and add and remove fuel where it is needed. If anyone has any questions or needs any help let me know.

Zac
