yeah i feel the same way it says on the DG site that you can use your under trey parts w/ some modification does n e one know how extensive this is cause im thinking bout getting this hood

Is there anything installed to prevent rain water from dumping directly onto the intercooler? This could be bad news for coilpacks.

takes away from the sleeper look, I prefer the not so in your face race car hence stock look, does look okay on a '10 model

Looks WRX-ish. Likes, but is fail if you have a FMIC

no you dont sir. run away as fast as you can.

It's in no way a fail if you have an FMIC, added air circulation is never a bad thing! Especially considering how hot the turbo setup gets in the back there, added ram air from a hood scoop as well as our grill rams can't hurt anything!

By the way, according to DG they actually take the hood scoop from the 2010 MS3 and implement it into the 1st gen hood design, that's why it looks so clean and like it belongs there, because... it kind of does! xD

too bad its fiberglass. aluminum would be a much better choice, probably cheaper too since once the form was made it'd be simple to produce em. that being said, dg is impossible to get ahold of so a aluminum one will never be made

it does look sick.
i'm not sure it will increase airflow. there is a great write up on airflow and scoops here: http://autospeed.com/cms/title_Undertrays-Spoilers-Bonnet-Vents-Part-1/A_2159/article.html. it seems (with measurements taken inside the cabin from bay mounted pressure sensors) that increasing the input into the bay can mess with the airpressure inside the bay and decrease airflow across the intercooler. my point: just because it looks great doesn't mean it will perform better, if that's what you're after.

it does LOOK fast though!
just wanting to put some objective/scientific info out there.

just curious, why should he be running away? have you been having smoking issues? blown motor? i'm loving my ms3, but am anxious about the issues i hear. the again, it may be the peeps who mess too much with their engines...
