I'm looking at getting a better bov for my 88 gtx, someone mentioned over there that the mazdaspeed oem bypass would fit very nicely. anyone replaced theirs with an aftermarket bov? i havent seen what the mazdaspeeds' looks like, anyone with a picture of it? :) and if you have replaced it, are you willing to part with it? let me know.

quite a few people have replaced it, but from what i remember about those cars they run much higher boost than the msp, and the msp bov isn't the best at higher boost levels, so what you have already would probably be just as good.

ok, got some info on this... we're doin about 7 to 8 psi stock, and up to around 11, with some better breathing. what is the stock msp bov good up to? i hear some of you running up to 13 psi on stock s***... is that including the bov? no leaking or anything at that point. i'd be curious to try it out on the gtx if anyone has one they're willing to part with for a fairly decent price or, even just willing to let me have one. :p

You're better off going with an aftermarket bypass valve. They really aren't that expensive. Mine wouldn't do you any good, it was leaking at stock boost in my car.

many people are running the higher boost levels, but nobody really has tested when the valve starts leaking. it isn't exactly the best bpv in the world, and i wouldn't trust it to run 11+psi every day without leaking.
