Anyone mistake your MSP for something else?

Everyone keeps telling me that it looks like an Evo III. I have had so many confused people looking at my car its funny though. I always got that with my sentra b.c of all the custom work I did to it ,but its great getting the same look for a stock MSP

I pulled up in front of this local "performance" shop and went in to ask about some accessories and the guy behind the counter says "what's that? a WRX?" I told him it was a limited edition Protege with a turbo and he then proceeds to talk to me like I'm an idiot or a liar. "There are no turbo proteges, I dont know what they told you at the Mazda dealer but you've been duped...blah blah blah." I let "the professor" go on for a few minutes until he had both feet firmly planted in his mouth. Then I took him outside and popped the hood. When he saw the turbo he started sputtering that it was after market so I showed him the Callaway logo on the intake. His face was beet red and I laughed my ass off. Told him maybe I'd better find a shop where their info was a little more up to date.

I thought debadging the rear & painting the front flying M black would cause people to mistake my car all the time, but so far all I've gotten are a few asking "what is that?"
If you know anything about cars, you'd realize that the MSP/MP3 looks NOTHING like an EVO & the only similarities to a WRX are fogs & blue paint.

I had mine mistaken for a 3 series Beamer....by who of all people??? My mom and dad!! The got in it and told me how I couldn't afford a BMW with all of ym other bills! I just laughed and told them, " I was going to buy the BMW, instead I spent $16K on the MSP and strapped $19K to the hood. I got the same effect"
They thought that was funny.

A guy in a tacoma who i raced asked me if my car was a mazda 6. And then ask me if i was an auto. So i had to tell this guy all about the Mazda speed.

ewwee an SRT? I was asked if mine was an Evo, I see other people had the same question too. I can kinda see the similarities but still.... I've had people stop and eyeball my car a little too closely. I thought they were gonna steal something until I noticed the finger pointing and puzzled kinda look. We need more *%$# magazine time and a better publicist!

my friend just recently purchased a silver 04 EVO 8 and some people said it looked like we both wnet out and bought same cars....but i think they do look alike...just their body shape....the four doors, wing and the fact that they both are turbocharged
