2007 Touring
I am looking to buy a used roof rack for my 2007 Mazda 5 Touring. I have a long trip planned in a couple of months and need something that can hold a luggage bag. Also I have a moonroof and would prefer one that would allow me to still open the roof. My e-mail is superbike7@hotmail.com. Just put ROOF RACK in the title.

You won't be disappointed with the OE rack. I heard so many complaints for the aftermarkets (Yakima and Thule) about wind noises and vibrations.

I'm a Newbie to the Mazda world and need the factory roof rack/cross bars for a 2002 Protege5 4-cyl 2.0L. I need these ASAP if possible....have a trip coming up. CAN ANYONE HELP? PLEASE email me at Sedlmeier11@hotmail.com if you have any information that can help.

Thanks in advance.

You can get a Thule roof rack (feet / cross bars) for under $300 MSRP. Or stop by your dealer and get a quote from them on an OEM rack.

Go to www.thule.com and find out exactly what you need, then do a google search and you can find the parts for 25% off or so. You don't really need the locks or the fairing.

As far as the comment that Thule racks have noise - well, yes, that's what a fairing is for. Or better yet, only put the rack on the car when you need it, it takes a few minutes to put it on and take it off but there would be less noise plus less wind resistance (better gas mileage).

Not a lot of people out there have even the slightest time to hassle around with taking it off and on and off and on. I still see lazy people with Christmas decorations up around their houses for crying out loud!!!
