like this one

is there a factory preset hole somewhere on msp? or its DIYed ?

The Mazda3s all have the provision for the tow hook like that but the protege does not. We only have a factory rear tow hook.

I don't understand why all the work to make something that our cars already come with stock? Not to mention most reputable towing companies don't trust those threaded hooks anyways they want something that is not going to move.( frame, suspension, or the OE metal tow spots)

the 2 front tie down/tow spots are right behind the bumper, I removed one of mine to fit my IC piping better. Its right behind the washer fluid bottle and bolted the the front unibody.

Part# is 53-395-HOOK, TIE DOWN - FRONT FRAME- 14.95 per

Hornsfan10609- Proteges do NOT have a front tow hook. They were not required on vehicles until after the Protege was out of production.

Are you planing on towing your protege around by a tow hook allot or just want the look of a race car while driving on the street?
But to answer your question, no the protege does not have a factory threaded hole for something like that in the bumper. The 3's
come with it factory.

just wanna know where can i tow it without dmging the bumper incase i need a tow during the coming up winter

below the bumper , saw 2 hook kind of thing blow both headlight, but thats gonna dmg the lip / bumper for sure if i tow from them.

just wonder if i could weld one into somewhere with solid engine bay frame.

i searched, and found rennline seems to be the only company that make something that i can either drill and fit / weld on

something like this should have one of them work on protege i guess. just matter of where and the length between the frame and bumper.

That's my exact problem, the way I routed my IC piping took away the possibilty of using either one of my tow hooks. Oh well, better not get stuck anywhere and if I do I better be in damn good shape LOL.

Keep a strap and towel in your car, wrap strap around whatever you need to ( rim control arm etc) and use towel to protect body parts

so drill and/or weld on towhook into the front bodyframe is not recommended? i also found a hook right above exhaust manifold, its screwed into front of the engine, is it towable?.
