I'm heavily considering selling my Jeep and making my next project a "Locost" or Ariel Atom-esque vehicle... and because I'm a nerd for knowing how things work... the rotary engines have my interest... big torque isn't really able to be put down in something so light, and while the 13b is kinda heavy for it's size... it's overall size is still really small which would be awesome. And on top of that the entire cars can be bought pretty cheap, albeit usually not running.
I'm just wondering if there might happen to be somebody near Dayton, OH that may have a rotary engine out of a vehicle, torn down(I hear it's not all that uncommon (lol2)) that I might be able to just kind of see the insides and get an idea of how big it is in reality.
I have no direct experience with the wankel engines... but I imagine a 200-250hp naturally aspirated 13b would be pretty freaking sweet in a 1200lb car.
