I don't have any pics, but my DP rests on the rubber coolant hose going to the block as well. I wrapped the DP with header wrap and then cut a piece of the wrap and folded it twice so there are essentially 3-4 layers of wrap in between the hose and the wrapped DP. It's ghetto, but it has been like this for over a year and a half with no issues. The hose is no hotter then it usually is and there are no signs of melting on it. I plan on redoing some pipes so when I do that, I am going to fix it. It will work if you want to go the easy and cheap route.

Everything else lined up fine. The exhaust shop that made the DP, just kicked it over too much at the top, then bent it over at the bottom so it would line up straight under the oil pan. My DP comes off the turbo and all the way down under the oilpan to about the back of the motor. To get it lined up straight under the motor, it had to rest on the coolant line. No problem's with the heat though with the ghetto rig.

I'll see how mine is in the morning, I think everything was kosher with no ghetto rigging, I'll also see if i can get some more pics for you...

yeah... we finally gave up trying to install this ghetto-kit.
i'm a tad PO'd about everything not lining up - but i'm assuming that's why the guy was selling it for so cheap.. bought it.. didn't fit properly, sold it on ebay at 60% off.
given, for less than $1000, i should be able to get all custom piping.

so what is the story on these kits?

It looks like a possible good option for people with a little amount of cash, but want bang for buck... I'm impressed with what all it comes with and looks to be quality from the sites I have seen. It also has the GT25R turbo option which puts it around $2900, which isn't bad...

yeah.. go with that.. i've only heard good about Beau/MAM - go with his stuff
the TSI kit isn't worth ANYTHING

I have already seen 2 TSI kits with cracked manifolds. The TSI kit is designed for the Ebay guy that is just looking for cheap parts.

The headaches that come with cheap parts never out weights the cost.

We will be offering the Stripper kit without a turbo. This gives the customer the option to run a T25 or something smaller and cheaper, but still have a quality piece.
The Stripper kit without the Turbo is $1595

i wish you had that last winter
all the shops that saw my manifold said it was realllly well built - so maybe i got the oddball.
i got the TSI kit for like 60% off or something... it's all getting overhauled over next summer (as s*** breaks)

I have seen a TSI kit on a P5 in person and it looked decent, but no where near the quality of the MAM kit. The guy who had it had a shop put it on because it was a pain in the ass, where as with the MAM kits, it is a definate do it your selfer. With MAM having a stripper kit, it's a no brainer, quality plus no headache for that price is definatly the way to go.

I dont see anything wrong with, TSI kit that is in my car even thought it's no MAM its still decent, mine is different that nay other one i've seem though as far as the IC, the piping and the intake...
