Any way to hook up the i-pod without spending $100 some?

Take 30 seconds and search for"iPod" and you will find tons of posts on iPod solutions. Personally I use Auxmod on my Speed6.

The second cable will work perfect as long as you have an AUX port in your deck - but if your like me you are s*** out of luck because you dont wanna spend 300+ Dollars to get a new deck in thier car just because the new face plate costs more then the deck! ...... So yeah, good luck.

Well it isn't less than $100 bucks but it isn't a lot more either. I use it and the sound is as good as your recording is that you are playing. Audio Link iPod Integration Kit for Mazda.

i had the auxmod for my p5 they have one for each model for mazdas, mine worked fine until i got a charger for my mp3 player, then i had the electrical buzzing sound coming out of the speakers, which was fixed with a ground loop isolator from radioshack. bought my auxmod used for $50 shipped, ground loop isolator was $12 ish. fromt he website auxmods new are $60.

i apologize if the sentences are fragments or unreadable. its 3:30 am here, not going to proofread LOL

*edit* now that i think of it, my old auxmod is still in the car. left it for my cousin to enjoy. hopefully i get to see my old P5 again if he ever brings it down from norcal. (i'm in socal)

I use to use the monster cable fm transmitter. I've tried all the different brands a by far the monster one was the clearest. Even now I tried using the monster transmiter and the iPod connecting cable for my head unit and there is hardly any difference. The monster cable fm transmitter can be had on ebay for under $20 and retails at the apple store for $100
