Any photographers in here?

Yeah mine didn't come with a card, but I can use the card from my camera in my GoPro so i didn't need to buy one.

As Flyin said, they are tons of fun and no need to wait to get one.

Maybe i could trade in a lens to fund one. My wife isn't crazy about me spending more money on camera stuff. (especially with my new PEN purchase) I'm sure some of you feel my pain.

Snapped while in Fort Lauderdale over the weekend

It was a small buy from a retailer here in Atlanta, but you can sometimes find them on Ebay for 215 or so shipped.

Best Buy sells them. My wife bought mine for my birthday. Not crazy expensive. $189 I think and mine is the 1080p GoPro Hero. Love the slight fish eye you get with the GoPro. I did a high quality 8gb card too.

Vocko, the second one and of course the last one are awesome ;) (2thumbs)

Wow 650 euros for the Tokina is crazy. I've had my eye on used ones for a while and I've seen them for around $600 ($425 euros).

Yeah GoPro is friggin' awesome! My buddy got one and been doing some nice bike action. Frankly, I've been itching to get one since beginning of the last ski season!

I wanted to record some wakeboarding action a month or so ago. Would've been awesome.

It's fun to mess with different angles and watch yourself ski or board. If you watch mine until the end, you'll see that the GoPro can take one hell of a beating too! I had it mounted to the deck of my board and hit a small lip on the side of the slope. When I came down, the camera unstuck and tumbled half way down the hill. Not a scratch!

I've seen a GoPro fall off of the side of a Miata during an autocross and another time one came off a motorcycle going down the back straight at VIR. In both instances, the camera was perfectly fine. The VIR incident the waterproof housing was pretty scratched up though.

They certainly are tough.

If GoPros are good enough for the Mythbusters, they're good enough for me. mythbusters gopro.webp

Also, you could attach a small gps tracker to the camera. or a radio signal tracker. the later is often used on RC planes

Snag a first gen and send it flyin too. Although I am sure its illegal in all sorts of ways to drop stuff from airplanes.
