Any photographers in here?

What about renting a lens? Like a 100-400 or something similar?

if i would have realized my lens was messed up earlier that probably would have been a better option. at this point i dont know if id be able to get one on time for this weekend.

Lensrentals.com does 2 day shipping and IIRC they are out of Kentucky or Tennessee or somewhere relatively close to us in Ohio/Michigan. Might be worth a shot to give them a call and see what they can do.

I like the effect but in the first one there is no sharp part of the photo. In the second one the sharp part is on the right side middle of the photo and there is immediately where my eye goes not to the subject with the car. It would be amazing if you could get the sharp bit to be on the car.

The focus on the car in this shot is better, but the effect is much more subtle.

And your black and gold liveried Lotus Renault.

Those two are much better. Why does Flickr strip out EXIF? What lens were you using?

Black and gold isn't as good as their yellow and black 2010 car:

i want to ride in that area!

There's a paved bike trail that goes all the way from Vail CO to Frisco CO. 25 miles each way, up and down two mountains. I only did like 5 miles of it because I wasn't feeling great because of the altitude. Really nice ride though!

That bike was made for trails! I don't have any closeups right now. I can get some, but it's not really anything that special. A Schwinn Tourist from Target lol. I was impressed with it though actually. Shimano everything. Nice wheels, nice brakes. Good bike for the $270 I paid.

wow, you had me. looks like some touring tires on it, and a rigid fork?

Yeah. No suspension at all. I took the seat off my old Diamondback because it was more comfortable, but also because it has a shock on the seat post. Much better! (headbang)

It has some serious skinny tires. I'm not used to avoiding bumps and cracks like I have to do with this bike. It has some fancy wheels that only have like half the spokes of my other bike. I don't know what they're called but it looks really nice! It also only weighs 21 lbs.

It was a good buy. I heard they stopped making them so I snatched one up.

i dont think id be able to ride a full rigid again but i keep threatening to get a road bike. thinking it might be boring compared to the trails though.

I think that might actually be on the lens... I don't recommend kayaking with an SLR, but I didn't have a better way to get to the other side of the lake.
