Yeah it was tricky to get shots that didn't have the fence in them. They tend to be tough to work around when you're just spectating, lol. I should have a couple from when it was wet and the dry line was next to the pit wall that don't have the fence in them. I'll check later.

The top two I was zooming out and panning. Made for a pretty cool effect imo. The bottom two are just regular pans.

Oh, and technically there is still a team with the Lotus name on the grid with a black and white livery :). I'll post one up later.

I know how that is. I struggle with the fence at Mid-Ohio during spectator events.

I like the effect but in the first one there is no sharp part of the photo. In the second one the sharp part is on the right side middle of the photo and there is immediately where my eye goes not to the subject with the car. It would be amazing if you could get the sharp bit to be on the car.

One of my buddies did this one:

He wasn't panning, but rather zooming out as the car drove towards him which created a similar effect.

i'm heading to an air show on sunday (selfrige air base) but i think i broke the autofocus motor on my 55-200mm lens. that may make things even more difficult than shooting with a kit lens.

What about renting a lens? Like a 100-400 or something similar?
