Any photographers in here?

the 28-300 is one of the most expensive zoom lenses that canon makes. You could get 2 faster lenses for the price of that one. I'd get a 70-200 f/2.8 IS and a 100-400 before I went near a 28-300.

Self-Portrait done for a friend that needed a picture to put on her movie poster that she had to do for her design class.

Dude! Never say you can not do something. Especially with nature shots like that. I've never taken a portrait photo in my life and look what I started to produce. You never know until you try it.

Judman, of course it all depends on your "scene". ;)

I'm an Amateur also, looking to get my first digital SLR...not sure when that's going to happen. For now, I'm good with my simple Canon digi cam...
I'm leaning towards a Canon Rebel...I also have to get that old Canon SLR (Film...who uses that anymore???) from our old house...

I have a Canon SX10IS that i have begun my hobby in photography. love this camera, although i want an SLR so i can take better pics in low light environments and with better lenses. Going to stick with canon for the rest of my life, love the brand!

First one is my friends 240, and the second one is a Tesla Roadster i snapped on my way to work!

I'm not really sure. This shot was taken on a Rebel XS with the kit 18-55 lens and on-camera flash. I'm not sure what the flash speed or anything was, nor am I really sure about high speed sync. I'm sorry I don't know a whole lot...

They were all taken that way and then minor touching up in PaintShopProX2 just to the likings of my eye.
