Any photographers in here?

I hope it was just the flash reflecting off some dust. It wasn't raining or anything during the game. I'm just very new with this camera and it tickes me off when it doesn't take the pic I want. When it does take the pics that I want, they are really good. I'm gonna mess around with it a bit more and see what the different settings do.

Got more examples? Are the spots always in the same place? Was it raining? Could be the flash reflecting off rain drops. Looks to be some sort of flare. Would say dust but dust usually turns out black. I'm clueless. Lol could pass for spirits or ufo. I would lean more towards flare since it's really dark and the camera probably bumped up the iso and tuned aperture to it's lowest possible f-stop. Plus the flash and reflective surfaces of the instruments.

That's snow or dust. Look at the white stuff on the ground near the grass. What is that? It's either light snowfall or just buncha dust flying around in the air. Maybe the poster can answer this.

Did an engagement session for a couple yesterday. Exact same couple that's flying me out to the Dominican next May :)

I'm not sure that I would buy off Craig's list, I've bought and sold many used lenses and I always did it on a couple of photography forums (http://photography-on-the.net and www.thephotoforum.com) I've had great experiences getting stuff from there.

eBay might not be as risky with the buyer protection, etc.

I wish it was snow. I love that stuff. Must be dust. It has been kinda dry here in Ohio. Not to mention a million people running around stirring up the gravel walking around.

What's a good camera that I can buy for under $500? I have a kodak easyshare cd82 and I want to up grade.

You could pick up a Canon T1i DSLR w/ kit lens used four around $500. Shoots video, and it will let you upgrade to different lenses in the future should you feel the need.

When you are looking for a camera, and you list price....there could be a shitload of cameras that fall under that category. Maybe if you could help us narrow down what you're looking for and what you want to shoot mostly and maybe we can help you find something. That question has been asked so many times. We can't help you if you dont know what you want.

what you want to shoot?
what have you read?
what research have you done?
etc etc.
