Any photographers in here?

I doubt they are willing to pay for it. It is a nice shot, but it's not often where companies will stumble across a photo in such a case, and be willing to pay for it.

did you guys hear about the $30 stock photo on the cover of Time Magazine? Pretty sweet for that guy, even though he only got paid $30...

my first real use of the 7D + 500L

nope its all mine :) got it about 6 months ago, now I have to figure out how to get the 800 :)

I used the 600 last month in yellowstone for a few hours and fell in love with it as well but I would rather have the 500 / 800 combo

wow amazing pictures!

I wish I could afford the 7d. I think I'll settle for the 50d right now and save up for some nicer lenses.

the 500L is 6400 USD now, the 800 11.5k :(

but I tried the cheaper solutions and its not the same the sigma 500 was pretty good if it had IS I may have kept it, it was lighter / smaller for sure

I actually want the 500 but I think I gotta pick up other things first before I get there :)

the 400 5.6 is an awesome lens I wish I never sold mine !! so tiny and amazingly sharp

Owls look so unamused... Awesome pictures Tekkie.

Well guys, I heard back from the company, here is their reply:

Hello Mr. Fink,

thanks for your reply!

My company named ARTS (aircraft related technical services) is a small and young company, we work as a Engineer Office (if the translator is right).

First I want to use the image in a brochure (I think we will produced about 350 pieces), but later on it is possible that we take it also for calendars, flyers or on the website www.arts.aero.

At the moment I don’t know this and it might be that the website takes 1 year for relaunch.

At first I would like to use the named image but I think that we also could take about 10 or images from you :-) because I think they are really fine.

So – have a nice evening and thanks for your reply!

Yours, Nadine Grabow

So turns out it is a German company in the aviation industry. They seem to be wanting the rights to do whatever they wish with the photo. I'm not sure if I should throw them this one as a freebie and hope they come back for more, or if I should charge them a small amount ($500) for full rights?

They look like a pretty legit company, so it might work out well. Advice is very welcome, and if I'm honest, needed!

Sounds like they are pretty serious about what you have!!! If they are going to use your pics for other stuff, then I definately think you could get some money out of this.

What I am going to do is lower my price to $300 for full rights on the first photo. If they want to use more, I'll probably go to $500, but who knows. I'm just hoping they're willing to pay for them!
