Any photographers in here?

About how much does a rolling shot rig cost?
and how do you edit it out of the pic? I guess I dont know how to use photoshop as well as i thought i did

I think mine was about 3-400 bucks.

editing is just a lot of time with the cloning and healing tools in photoshop. Also, if I had it to do over again, I'd be more careful with the placement to minimize reflections.

Yup..just learn photoshop haha. that's all. If I was to charge you, as a professional, it takes about 30minutes to 1 hour to set it up, figure out the composition, etc, I'd say to get a decent good rig shot is about 1.5 to 2 hours. Then post processing time which is really depending. So ya...haha. You get the idea.

Two pictures of the Missouri River flood in Iowa and Missouri. These were taken from apx Craig, Missouri. That highway at you see at the bottom of the frame is I-29. From this point south I-29 is closed because of the flood. All that you see is **supposed** to be corn fields. The Missouri River has **never** been visible from this part of I-29 in my lifetime. The crop loss is unimaginable.

I have a manfrotto magic arm. it makes camera placement VERY easy.

It's the manfrotto magic arm.

I'm guessing that the aluminum pole is just from a hardware store or something like that?

I think mine was about 3-400 bucks.

Thanks for the info/links FunkyBuddha and sleeper3. I just added a setup like that to my wish-list! :D

my boom is conduit from home depot. it's not aluminum though. aluminum is more expensive, but probably better. mine shakes a lot, so I'm thinking about making some supporting structure.

Does it sag? I wouldn't think that the conduit would be strong enough with a camera hanging off the end.

Thanks for posting your setup! I already have a magic arm and 1 suction cup so I'm almost there! (2thumbs)

Support structure above it?

Doesn't look like there is one in FunkyBuddha's picture/example unless I'm misunderstanding what you're talking about.
