Using 2 nikon strobes bouncing off umbrellas, should I be doing it differently?

Put the lighting source higher and increase the output. You can use one to light the background and one to light the subject.

Only thing is your composition. I dont have time atm, but ill explain what could have been better later.

zoomed out would have made for a better pic composition. I'm not saying this would be easy, but having the F-stop higher would make more of the dog in focus which may or may not make it better depending who you ask, but all in all its pretty good. looks like the shutter speed was about right and the exposure and white balance look good.

I was zoomed out a lot further but she was like pouncing on me the whole time it was hard to get anything but just her mouth. She is so funny lol. I was 100 percent against getting her when my GF bought her but now I wouldn't trader her for anything.........well almost anything.

I hear ya, perfect pictures are tough when you have an uncooperative subject.

We have 2 that area bout that size. I'd trade either for... well a glass of beer would be fine.
