Any photographers in here?

im wondering how to make a hdr with 2 or more exposures without moving ? even with a tripod i have to touch my camera to change the exposure ... is there a setting in the camera to take diffrent exposures at once ?
i have a Nikon D60. anyone with the same that can help me?

it's a setting in the menu. looks like an exposure setting, but when you change it, it moves out from center so you can change the exposure of your three shots. search it in youtube. that's what I always do.

thx sleeper3 but i dont think i have that setting in the shooting menu or the custom one :(
 
the D60 doesn't have autobracketing. I'd use a tripod and the self timer... and hit the button gently.


my HDR program has an auto-align feature in it. that would work well for you probably.

i knew i should of waited for the D80 ! hah ahh well i have a tripod and a remote so ill do my best with it, Thx sleeper3 and FB

Actually that hurts my eyes. I dont' think mine are that saturated. I actually turn mine down. Maybe it's your monitor?

Those Outside pics are great, someone should do a write up on here how to make a Fake HDR, like a step by step.
 
Well there was some what of different ways to do HDRs in the HDR thread.

The fake way to do it takes a little bit more time but the results are worth it. You can even make them turn out better the more time you spend on them.

This is how i do my fake HDRs. By no means is this the right way to fake HDRs, its just how i learned to fake them on my own.

First you will want to start out with the original picture you want to HDR. I like to auto color it to make the colors stand out a little bit better. (Make sure if you decide to auto color your photos that you do it to every single copy you make.)

Then i will save it into its own seperate folder labled "HDR Processing"

I will then drag that picture into PS and adjust the brightness and contrast to different exposures. You will want to do this from rather dark to rather bright. About 6-9 times. the more the better the quality usually.

When adjusting the pictures and saving them, i find it very helpful to lable the picture as, -5, -4, -3, -2, -1, 0 , 1, 2, 3, 4, 5... 0 being the original -5 being the darkest. It is rather helpful.

Then you will want to batch them using photomatrix pro. You should always start off with the default settings because it will save previous settings from other pictures you've done and you will almost never want to use the same settings on your photos.


And i usually get some pretty good ones...

Last December, I had the unique opportunity to lay wreaths with my CAP unit at Arlington National Cemetery for the holidays. It was a truly humbling experience and I feel honored to have done so. Here are some of the better pictures from that morning:

Here's some shots I took today of downtown Chicago and the Shedd Aquarium. All of the indoor shots were taken with the 18-55VR, ISO 1600, 1/100ss, no flash. Camera used was the Nikon D300, and the outside shots were taken with the 70-300VR. The one dark shot of the large shark (#13) was probably the most difficult to get. It was taken in the "Great Reef" exhibit. It's virtually pitch black in that section. I was amazed that I was even able to get a usable shot of the shark. I must have sat there shooting for at least 20min, trying to wait for him to go through the spot were the two light rays were coming down.
