Any P5's faster than 16.5 @ 82mph?

I can tell you that I pulled a 14 flat when I ran the quarter on a steep downhill, my friend and I measured out a quarter-mile on this downhill road by where he lives; I went to the top, he sat at the bottom with a stopwatch and bottle rocket, and when the rocket lit up, I pushed it. For a car with nothing more than intake, clutch and exhaust, I think it's pretty damn good...now if only I could do that on flat ground. NOPE. Oh well.

**** it, Darin Wins I can't even try to defend the car after that.(hand)

at the time i had catback exhaust, warm air intake, and the Japanese spec cams and ran a 16.4, now i have that plus full exhaust including the racing mazda header, short throw shifter, underdrive crank pulley, 10.7:1 high comp pistons, and some significant weight reduction, and ups just delivered my fidanza flywheel and clutchmasters stage one clutch today so thats going in this weekend

awesome! I can't wait to see the results! :)

Do you have any information on the FS that HAS held 'over 225whp' for more than, I dunno...6 months? A year? I find it VERY hard to believe the OEM mazda clutch can handle enough torque to allow for power to reach 105mph in the 1/4...

but.. i say this much i test drove the car and it ran smooth as hell, had awsome power @ 8psi and didnt run lean at all.
i know the clutch would slip mine does right now and i dont even have close to that much power. from what ive been told there car has been turboed for 7,000miles already so its a little longer than
peolpe think.

He we go straight from spools site! This is the stage 1 kit for $2595!

The beauty of this kit is its ease of install and efficiency. Expect a 4-6
hour install by a professional mechanic. Dyno testing on this kit produced
a 160 whp at a mere 4.5 psi of boost!

LOL :)

:D

Keep in mind, I LOVE the P5...I'm just a natural skeptic. :) I enjoy hard data, not just subjective reports of whatever...just looking to solidify the choice!

Weird, I will have to call him on that one, the site says that curve was the whp. The dyno seems to call it torque though. hmm.

My pump is fine until 7 PSI where it just can't keep me at 12:1 any more. Even to 6 PSI is fine according to Mr. Wideband O2.

Good info - I push the stocker + 250lph line pump on my pgt. I'm hitting about 120psi of fuel at max boost...Could use MORE pump..this Inline barely can provide enough volume at those pressures.

My stock pump alone dies at 75 PSI. The inline will be installed shortly and we ill see how far into boost it can get me.

Derp...160whp, or even 150whp, at 4.5 psi NON intercooled??

hurmm...I find that VERY hard to believe.

So talk to the man. Hes a very active board member

You think thats good you should have been here for the guy claiming over 220 whp from uping the boost 3PSI on the Mazdaspeed protege and adding a 3" exhuast and down pipe!
That would be a 70 whp increase.

1st, so your keeping the mp3?

Not 100% decided.
Its on jack stands at the moment. I have to get some replacement parts in. Then add the fuel pump and new intercooler hoses and clamps, then try out 9 PSI!
I still have some guy interested in it but it is not going for any less then $13.5K

:) Hopefully he'll find this thread -

I'm just disturbed at not finding LOTS of information/data on kits for sale. I'm used to being killed w/ data from the likes of FlyinMiata, etc...

I'd never call him unethical, but I'd just love some clearification. :)

I got 80hp from my Electric Supercharger :)

Just saw the Hi boost kit 259 hp @13psi that will run a lot quicker than 16.5. Nice well built kit with everything you need.
