Any P5's faster than 16.5 @ 82mph?

Darin, you need to leave the defense mechanisms on probetalk. There is no need for them there. As far as anyone knows you have a stock 93 miata, of coarse you and I know differently.
I know equinox well and he was not insulting you just defending his ride like you would.
Either way calling someones car inferior is never going to be taken well espeicaly on a sie deadicated to that car. I can easily give you and example by going to Probetalk and saying all the probes are inferior to my MP3. They very much are and in every way but that is something that has no need being said there.

I dont' have trap speeds because I only find the quarter mile time important when people ask about it because barely enough people know what that is, and an even fewer amount know about trap speeds, and 60ft times, therefore I didn't take much note of it afterwards.
I did however take first in STF class at the last SCCA meet in houston,
But yeah I was just surprised that after dissing the p5 to see the quarter was 16.5. Most people that talk s*** usualy have some bulls*** srt running 13s or some spec V who hates their car so make it okay by yelling at p5ers, haha. I don't mean any hate, I love miatas, I'm just saying, don't hate on my mom wagon. =P

Right - but 16.5 is about what MOST P5s would run...and very close to what SOME P5's run.
I love your mom wagon...going to buy one soon, I suppose.
Actual 1/4 mile time isn't 'that' important to me; I'm merely trying to gauge the relative 'fastness' of the car, when compared to my miata. If I want 'sorta fast' 1/4 mile times, I'd drive my PGT (best is 13.1@107), if I want 'pretty fast' I'd drive the Ninja ZX6.

The fully loaded one I wanted was $25K. That was without rebate, I got them down to $24K too.
The drive wire sucks hard in any tranny but the standard is alot better then the auto.

But, seriously...you don't want to start comparing mod'd P5s vs Mod'd Miatas...you really don't.
P5s handle pretty well - I know that. A friend of mine has both a miata and a P5. He can toss the p5 around corners nearly as quick as his miata. But give a $5,000 budget to BOTH cars? What do you think the outcome would be?

Obviously the cars are designed for 2 very different things. However given 5K to a Miata and I have no idea what you could do. To my knowledge thats just enough for drop springs, struts and the basic FM kit.
In the P5 thats enough for Spoolin's turbo, full 2.5" exhuast, drop springs, struts, clutch, flywheel, and piggy back fuel control. With that budget you could MATCH your Probes 1/4 mile times and be a real pain in the ass on the track.

When we looked at them this spring, MSRP, loaded was ~$28K
I had wanted a 6S with the better looking apperance package but not the 1SE which exculded it form eveything, leather, sunroof, ect and the price with rebate was $21500.
Becuase it fell threw the dealer offered me there fully loaded 6s with the 1se package for $24,500.That was last month.

Cuz I find that to be VERY optimistic at best, stretching the truth at worst; whichever company claims that. Maybe that was HiBoost? Either way...a stock-bottomed P5 wouldn't see more than about 175-200whp before throwing rods, imo.
