Any other alaska folks?

I am in Alaska and just bought a silver 2002 P5 about three weeks ago. So far so good. I have been driving a 4wd truck the last few days since we finally got some snow. I am going to try and get thru this year without getting snow tires.

Sweet,,, I was starting to worry that I was the only person in the state that has this car. I know the dealer has sold only 5 up here in the last year. Just bought mine a little over a month ago now.

I've been dieing to get to Alaska for a visit! Tried going 2 summers ago but it fell through. Hopeful soon (and hopefully, with my car). Don't worry - I'd love to stay for free at your places and eat your food. I'll be sure to look you up! :)

We live in igloos and eat whale blubber, but you are welcome to stay with us. Heck I traded a dog sled and a good team of dogs for my P5.

Yeah dude, bring your car up. Maybe we can get a little convention in alaska going.

A little three car meet would be sweet (rockon)

...and I bet your cars are electric like ours in Canada cause you have a plug hanging out the front eh?

...and those oval plastic things you stick to the windows....ya, those are to make it bulletproof.

...and we've all modded the interior to look like red plaid to match our "lumberjack" jackets.

...and we all hunt and fish for a living (ok, so maybe you guys DO)

Man - Those are Canadian jokes! Those folks in the south just don't understand!

What's UP!! I made it.

I just bought my new P5 in Black Mica... very sleek!

I'm up in Fairbanks so if you want to meet up just give me a holla!

I thought we had it bad in Hawaii.......our interiors are made from Coconut Husks and our cars run on Pineapple juice....

s*** u should check out maryland, secret service checkin ur every move and our cars run on moonshine

I want to move back to Alaska so bad. I moved in 97. I had a 94 RX7 R-2 that I ordered from Continental Mazda in Anchorage. We use to race on Friday and Saturday nights on that road that runs from C street to Spenard and then back up the other side back to C Street. I can't remember what the name of that road was, the road that Carrs is on. I will move back up there one day.

Northern Lights and Benson Blvds. I am a transplanted Alaskan in Montana going to school. Good to know that the ANC is getting something more than slammed Civics and Eclipses. Best one I saw was a '97 GSX that was slammed on Northern Lights. Was probably doing 50-60 and went across A Street. Got his front bumper caught on the tire ruts from A St and by the time he was through the intersection, the bumper was keeping his rear wheels off the ground.

I'm sorry, but the land of deep ruts and potholes the size of Buicks is not a good place for a slammed ride.

Keep it real in 907 Country.

Yeah Linux, but it will be very different for you. Only been to Houston, not DFW, but when I was down there (and being from AK), I had a hard time getting used to the hightest point in elevation being the interchange of I-10 and the Beltway 8.

But hey, We've got a lot of transplanted Texans up there. Oil is a wonderful thing.
