For the price I'd buy the Mazdaspeed MX-5 over a used RX-8, even though the RX-8 styling is amazing, the NB MX-5 styling has so much character I love it.

That wrinkle paint on the valve cover is such a nice touch. Wish they would have done something like that instead of the crap plastic cover they tossed on the Mazdaspeed Protege. I ordered black wrinkle paint VHT paint months ago and it is still on backorder until the end of this month. I should have just gone with red but I want to get rid of the red under my hood.

The red paint already comes on the valve cover new. I love the look of the engine on this car, the new Miata(itll never be mx-5 to me) comes with a crappy plastic valve cover. I love how the valve cover says '16 valve DOHC Turbo' in nice shiny letters on the red valve cover. It makes you wanna just go out and shout to the world "I am MAN!" Except since your a chick kristin you cant do that, that would just be scary.

Well Ive heard several people who have said they got a new speed for around 20k. I actually saw an auto trader add for one that was asking around 21k new. It might be hard to find a new one now though, as all the dealerships lowered the prices to such low levels in order to get them off the lots. Were talking about 6k off MSRP, so thats a steal. Used ones are pretty close to the new ones in price. It only makes sense to try and get a new one while there still there, cause convertibles really move off the lots during the summer. Mine was advertised on auto trader for $17,500.

Didnt buy it, traded my 06 miata with 14000 on it for the 04 with around 4000 miles. 17500 was just what they were asking if someone were to not do any trade ins. I didnt pay anything extra, was an even trade. I talk about it in the first post.
