Any cigar smokers?

a question for you vets......how can you tell if a cigar is hand rolled or machine rolled? any differences in flavour or quality?

most real cigars are hand rolled. your black and milds, s*** that is under 3 dollars, s*** at the dollar store etc tends to be machine rolled. i had some acids last weekend at carlisle...i dont usually like acids, but damn man with some beer, scotch and bbq it was banging

^ Agreed. The Acids in that setting were ballertastic.

Not bashing you guys choice, but Acid just wasn't for me. Father-in-law and I went to a tasting for them. hated everything we smoked. Had to put one out cause it was like smoking a sugar stick. Drew Estate is kind of a novelty brand. Just not for me, thats all. Free cigars and beer was nice though!

yeah i want to try acid brand. i just got a padron from my boss, cant smoke till tuesday though. better be good if not i will have to smack a b****.

thats why i caveated it with the idea of the location/goings on. i wouldnt smoke them normally, just when drunk, outside, being social

Any good smokes over the holiday? Had a first....Carlos Torano Exodus 1959. Mild and smooth. Silky wrapper. Nice little smoke. Except toward the end. Kinda started to dull in taste a bit. Maybe it was just me.

I had 2 this past weekend. 1st was a CAO honey something or other, didn't like it at all!

Next was my go to, a CAO Gold. ahhh, just as good as I remember!

ThrillRide, I was able to resurect them it seems. . .thanks for the tip!

Right on! I hate losing cigars. I also had a couple Flor Dominica cigars; double ligero. Usually smoke the DL 600 or 700, but had the chisel this time. I like the shape. Want to try the Chisel Maduro.

As a cigar? lol don't think so. ;) Never had a hookah. You like it? Couldn't you just smoke a pipe for the same effect but without the giant hookah?

And yes I love it, I spent a couple months in Iraq and every night we would sit around a fire with a couple Lebanese guys who got us into them. We would puff on them for hours while they told stories about growing up during a civil war in Lebanon. Now I am hooked. In Iraq we called them either Nargile pronounced (nar gi la) or shisha.

never tried hookah. always wanted to. havent smoked anything in over a month. time to go to cigar shop.

My cigar career is just starting, but I enjoy Romeo y Juliets and Kahlua cigars. I've tried Macanudos but they are a little too harsh and I don't really enjoy them.

Hookah's are amazing though. I love almost all flavors.

yeah macanudos, not on my fav list. i like the 1875 romeo julieta nice and mild. one of these i gotta try kahlua brand. couple people i know like them.

I remember my first R&J. I was in Cape Canaveral on the beach, smoking an R&J, drinking a big cup of captain and coke, and we had a radio on. The radio station was playing all pink floyd all night. It was amazing. Just me and 3 buddys having a good time.

Kahluas are good. Very sweet. Honestly, they don't have much of a taste, but like after you are done smoking, or if you lick your lips, that's when you get the sweetness.

I am a diehard Monte Cristo fan.

I love the White's , and the 1999 Specials. They are very light cigars, some would say over priced, but I have YET to get one that didn't burn perfect every time.
