Any Advice On Connecting an iPod to the SP23 stereo?

I just got my 2005 SP23 and I was wondering the best way to tie an iPod into that unit..

Mainly I was wondering if I can use one of the units that plugs into the six disc changer connector. Is that plug still present on the in-dash six disc units?

I was looking at the unit at

10052 - Neo iOn SP

The only downside I can see with that unit is that it doesn't appear to display ID3 tags on the stereo display, but it does allow you to use the steering wheel controls... Anyone know of a solution that will display the ID3 tags and works with the in-dash six disc changer?

Thanks...

The main issue you run into with those is interference and you're only getting FM broadcast quality... If you plug directly into your stereo with the Neo iOn you get better quality, you can control it with the controls on your steering wheel, and it charges the iPod.. The main downside as far as I can tell is that it only works with iPods so it limits your future expansion to another MP3 player... That and it doesn't display ID3 tags on the stereo display, but that sounds more like a limitation of the 3's display...

From what I understand, there are cheaper solutions that can tie an iPod into your stereo through a line-in, but they don't charge your iPod and you can't use the steering wheel controls...

I think I'll break down pretty soon and get one.. I'm just leery about pulling the stereo out and installing it myself.. From what I've read it should be pretty easy. I think it's just the one piece of molding and then two screws to take the stereo out. I'm fairly confidant messing around with computers, but when it comes to cars, I worry a bit more about screwing something up...
