My Honda Fit has roof mounting ant..
My Mazda 5 also has roof mounting ant..

why not swap them for *fun*..^^

we replaced ours too. Original was hitting the garage door.
I noticed the AM radio reception is not that good anymore when I'm parked in the parkade. So I kept the original antenna in the car for long trips.

Same here antenna hitting garage door. Replace witj aftermarket silver short ones.

I bought one from him because my OEM broke after always hitting garage door.It worked very well. Then bought a sharkfin. Honestly the stubby worked better than the sharkfin but the sharkfin looks cooler to me.

I re-installed the original antenna. I'm trying to preserve the Mazda5 GT look the way it was when it left the dealership. The single little dent and swirl mark, some scratches, is not very obvious, but a quick glance at the tiny replacment antenna can be misinterpreted that we did not like the original antenna. As for the garage door, I taped a layer of plastic sheeting so that the antenna will just glide smoothly as the car goes in and out.

Ditto here (on the CX-7 antenna). I have not experience any reception issues...

Can you guys adjust your garage doors upward travel a little more so it doesn't catch the antenna? There are adjustments on the garage door openers. (if you have them)

None of my doors would catch it.

I have the shark-fin, and yes it looks cool, there was a slight decrease in reception.. but again the look superceded the reception. If it ever falls off I will get the CX7 one.
