Just wanted to say hello, and say that Im glad I found this site. I just bought my MSP in yellow and love the car. One thing tho, why is it faster at partial throttle than full? Any answers??

Running too rich at WOT?

I have yet to install a guage on aything, the car only has 303 miles on it. Im gonna get a boost guage and see what its making and go from there. Any other suggestions? I am all ears

When the car goes into open loop at WOT around 4000rpm, the ECU ignores all sensor inputs (RPM, load, O2, etc) and uses pre-programmed fuel and timing maps. These maps are so rich that it bogs the engine down. If you're not at WOT, it won't go into open loop, and will adjust fuel and timing based on the sensors.

In our case, it makes it faster at just below WOT.

No i have not gotten this done, I will be calling the dealer today to see about getting that one and also the alarm that bugs out.

Just remember that if you have plans to up the boost stay away from the flash. The flash has been a curse for some and a blessing for others.

I traded my MSP about 2 years ago and bought a 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution MR in Graphite Grey. Had the guys from Turbo Trix turn it up a few notches for me and have since put it away and drive my Explorer all the time.

LOL, blast from the past. Do you have any idea where your yellow MSP wound up?

Traded it in at Freehold Mitsubishi and never looked back. It was a lil damaged on the dr side rear quarter panel due to some lil old lady driving up my side while parking in downtown Freehold. The subwoofer was missing and the rear bumper had 2 lil marks from when my sister rear ended me.
Id like to know who bought it. It was a great car and it really was trouble free for 25k miles.
