Another new P5 owner!

Hello all! I'm a pround owner of a new silver 5-speed P5. This car is absolutely awesome. Plenty of power for what I need (at the moment ) and great style! It's funny b/c I first owned a '94 626, then a '94 Honda Accord. It's great to be back in the Mazda family! My fam has also owned many a Mazda... two different 626's and a '95 MX-6. I look forward to discussions with all of you! BTW, does anyone know if there will be a P5 or Protege meet somewhere in the vicinity of PA, NY, or NJ? Let me know! Ciao!

Hey man welcome to the boards. You will find it very helpful. What options did you get on your 5? If you look in the car meets section, you can find everything you want about meets. Also do some searches for info you want about your car. There is a lot of info out there! congrats on the purchase.

Great to hear from everyone! Pshaw34- My P5 doesn't have any of the options except for the roof rack, but I'll tell ya. The thing is really nicely equipped standard. I have an MP3 head unit and I'm thinking of getting the satellite radio tuner for it, so I really wouldn't have a need for a 6-disc changer. I mean, I wouldn't mind having a sunroof , but at the price I paid, I won't complain! (Just over $10k after rebates, trade-in, and taxes).

AbbyVonNormal- thanks! I wish I had found out about the NJ meet. I know exactly what you mean though about the rain... I'm in central PA right now (originally from the Philadelphia area) and that's all it does. This week though it has been sunny and scorching hot. It's been a couple years since I've been to 6-Flags... I'd like to check out some of the new rides (rollercoasters AND P5's!)
